Spoon-knife

My Dad knows about my interest in spoons! On a recent trip to Germany, he brought back these spoon-knives for me from the AerLingus plane journey.
Our conclusion, however, is that they are fine as a spoon OR a knife but not as both!! Do you want to stir your coffee with a buttered handle?! Or butter your bread holding the knife that's wet from stirring coffee. Hmmm. Not ideal.

Clever from a manufacturing point of view - the plastic makers and the catering stockist need only worry about one item.
